Zion is not your typical Lutheran (LCMC) church. Our community is alive and growing. Our modern services feature full-band worship, dynamic production, and creative media in a recently renovated space. IN the summer, we take church outside-literally-hosting services in City Park in the heart of downtown, creating one of our most impactful outreach opportunities. With over 150 years of history and a strong presence in the community, Zion is both deeply rooted and forward-thinking, offering a unique platform for meaningful ministry and influence.

• THE BIG IDEA:

Zion is experiencing exciting growth in attendance, engagement, and generosity, and we’re looking for a leader who can guide our congregation, volunteers, and staff into authentic, Spirit-led worship encounters that resonate both inside and outside the church.
• THE OPPORTUNITY:
  • We’re seeking a servant-leader with integrity, humility, and a heart for people—someone who thrives on developing others and cultivating a culture of worship. This leader will equip and inspire volunteers, build relationships, and shepherd the congregation toward deeper connection with Jesus.
  • You’ll be someone who leads from both platform and presence—engaging, communicative, and spiritually grounded, with a reliance on prayer and the Holy Spirit. If you’re energized by building teams, raising up leaders, and being part of something God is actively growing, you’ll find a home here.
• WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • You’ll lead and oversee all aspects of modern worship—from planning and rehearsals to production and team development. You’ll recruit and invest in volunteers, coordinate services, collaborate with staff, and steward resources with excellence. Above all, you’ll model a life of worship that points people to Jesus.

Requirements

• WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
  • A passion for leading others into the presence of God through authentic worship
  • Proven ability to build, mentor, and lead teams with both care and excellence
  • A collaborative spirit that values unity, fun, growth, and shared purpose
  • Strong communication and stage presence aligned with a modern worship environment
• Bonus Strengths:
  • Proficiency in guitar or piano
  • Experience with production elements (lighting, audio, visuals)
  • Familiarity with modern worship styles (Bethel, Hillsong, Elevation, Maverick City, Kari Jobe, etc.)
