The Family Ministry Director is at the heart of this mission—partnering with parents, nurturing volunteers, and creating safe, engaging environments for children and students from birth through high school.

Your Impact
As Family Ministry Director, you will:
Oversee, recruit, and equip team leaders and volunteers in Preschool, Elementary, Student Ministries, Parent Connections, Welcome, and Admin roles
Ensure our Sunday environments are staffed, welcoming, and secure
Foster a ministry where belonging and growth are central—for kids, parents, and volunteers alike
Responsibilities
Volunteer Leadership & Encouragement (7 hrs/week)
Build strong connections with 4 team leaders (preschool, elementary, students, operations); know what’s going on in their lives
Recruit, equip, and train leaders and volunteers regularly
Celebrate volunteers through notes, encouragement, and appreciation events
Operations & Sunday Readiness (2.5 hrs/week)
Oversee Sunday volunteer plans and check-ins via Planning Center
Prepare curriculum materials and tech (e.g. Playlister, supplies)
Maintain physical ministry environments and ensure readiness for Sundays
Events & Special Moments (1 hr/week)
Plan and execute Family Dedication, seasonal celebrations, and other outreach events
Help create meaningful moments for families (e.g., Parent Nights Out)
Training & Development (3.5 hrs/week)
Organize and lead volunteer training events
Participate in church leadership meetings and ongoing personal development
Invest in spiritual and professional growth as a ministry leader
Communication & Connection (2.25 hrs/week)
Keep team leaders, parents, and volunteers informed through regular updates
Welcome and follow up with new families
Supervise social media presence for The Corner Church Kids
Administration & Budget (1.5 hrs/week)
Track and steward the ministry budget
Order supplies, maintain records, and manage forms and onboarding processes
Weekly Sunday Expectations (4 hrs/week)
Open and close Kids’ Environments
Lead volunteer rally and connect at the Gazebo
Support team leaders and troubleshoot in real-time
Candidate Description
Spiritually grounded and committed to daily prayer and personal devotion
Teachable, humble, and enthusiastic about growing a healthy ministry
Skilled in (or willing to learn) tools like Planning Center, Mailchimp, Google Suite, Spotify, and Playlister
A relational leader who thrives in team-based ministry and values equipping others
