Role Overview
The Worship Associate will support the Worship Director in creating meaningful and high-quality worship experiences at Christ Community Church (CCC). This role involves sharing the following responsibilities with the worship director: leading the congregation in worship during Sunday services, overseeing rehearsals, and assisting with volunteer scheduling and communication. Additionally, the Worship Associate will help cultivate spiritual and musical growth within the worship team, with a focus on glorifying God and enriching the worship life of the CCC community. The Worship Associate reports directly to the Worship Director.
Responsibilities
Assist in Sunday morning worship services, as well as special events, and other ministries as needed.
Lead a full Sunday worship service every 6-8 weeks.
Assist the Worship Director in scheduling special services, rehearsals, team gatherings, holiday services, and All Praise services.
Assist in scheduling volunteers through Planning Center.
Assist in outreach opportunities
Assist in recruitment of new team members
Assist in set up/running rehearsals, auditions, and onboarding new team members.
Facilitate the “Share & Prayer” devotional on occasion and handle prayer requests from team members. Overall, the Worship Associate is committed to enhancing the effectiveness and spiritual depth of the Worship Team at CCC, all for the purpose of glorifying God and serving the church community.
Requirements
Conviction for Gospel-centered praise.
Ability to sing and play an instrument in a lead capacity.
General understanding of music theory.
Bachelor’s Degree in a music field or equivalent experience.
