About us: Calvary Bible Church is located in Marshfield, WI. We feel God has given us a vision to impact our community by reaching families with the Hope of Christ. Responsibilities
First and foremost the pastor must meet the qualifications laid out in Titus 1:5-9; 1Timothy 3:1-7.
The pastor is to be given over to prayer and the preaching and teaching of God’s Word.
The pastor is to lead the church by providing vision for the future.
The pastor is responsible for maintaining proper theology and doctrine of the church.
The pastor is responsible for making sure that proper care is given to the members of Calvary Bible Church. This includes counseling, hospital visitation and following up with new guests; as well as providing for spiritual life needs; infant dedication, baptism, pre-marital counseling, weddings, and funerals.
The pastor, along with the elders, is responsible for maintaining the overall spiritual health of the church. Encouraging prayer, evangelism, discipleship, stewardship, and service in ministry. Maintaining unity and resolving conflict.
The pastor, along with the board, is responsible for making sure the ministry leaders are well equipped to accomplish their given tasks and to encourage and assist members to use their gifts in ministry.
The pastor must attend all board meetings. He may, but is not required to, attend all ministry meetings (the ministry leaders lead these).
The pastor is to oversee the office ministries and be available in the church office for set hours as required by the board.
The pastor is to oversee the worship services of the church and regular participation in the Lord’s Supper.
The pastor is to represent the church in the community and along with the board, develop a strategy of outreach to fulfill our mission and vision.
